Owned by the Houston Audubon Society and open year round, the rookery is a favorite nesting spot for thousands of waterbirds including spoonbills, cormorants, herons and egrets. Details - Open dawn to dusk year round, but check the web site to see which entrances are open at different times of the year - Especially lovely to view at sunset when thousands of birds settle in for the night - Nesting begins in March and runs into the summer
